Any power bank consists of a plastic or metal case, power cells and a board on which all the necessary electrical elements are placed. All these parts can be purchased separately or partially assembled. For example, a case with a board is not uncommon – it can be purchased on the Internet.

Here you need to make sure that the features suit you. The board should be able to charge the power bank, otherwise we will have to buy a special charger, which we will also need for 18650 cells. However, we recommend that you immediately purchase the case with the required board.

The next thing we need to buy is power bank batteries. Energy will accumulate in them, and thanks to them, the smartphone and other equipment will be charged.

We need 18650 lithium ion battery which looks like big batteries. Depending on the number of such batteries, you will get one or more volumes of the power bank.

You can easily buy batteries in a store or online, but they are not cheap.

We assemble the power bank

Then everything is very simple: we put the batteries in the case, connect all the elements and charge. The charging indicator will start to notify you that the power bank is charging.

All of the above is enough for you to assemble a power bank without a soldering iron and the necessary skills. The advantages of such a device are that you get a more powerful power bank than elements that can be found at home and can be replaced at almost any time. Also, such a power bank will not have additional switches or ports.
