Such information was received by the Russian media from sources in large networks of equipment dealers. Yes, an employee of an unknown retail chain emphasized that only iPhone and Mac stocks will be enough by June.

In particular, there will be enough laptops and computers by August-September (there are not so many chances for this), provided that the equipment ordered in the winter and currently stuck in Europe will arrive in Russia.

Predicting when exactly the gadgets will end is problematic, due to rising prices, as well as due to the fact that the demand for electronics in Russia in late February – early March was in full swing and sales fell sharply in May.

What about “import substitution”?

Some categories will be extremely difficult to replace with other brands in the short term. These include premium home appliances, flagship smartphones, smartwatches and game consoles. The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade reports that only equipment such as:

• refrigerators,
• washing machines,
• Russian smartphones
• electric kettles,
• televisions,
• microwave ovens,
• gas and electric stoves with ovens.

However, this information is not as accurate as any information produced by Russian agencies.

Currently, Russia is in danger of a serious shortage of equipment. The country is currently trying to develop a mechanism for parallel imports from Turkey, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
