After several years of waiting, in August 2021 Xiaomi presented its new tablet, the Xiaomi Pad 5. The next generation won’t have to wait too long, all things considered – details about the Pad 6 have already appeared in the MIUI source code.

Thanks to some lines of code, we know that the codename for the Pad 6 base is pipa. At the same time, the device will work on the basis of the Snapdragon 870. The processor should prove to be slightly better than the already excellent Snapdragon 860 used in its predecessor.

But the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro is much more interesting. The model is codenamed liuqin and is based on Qualcomm’s top processor Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. It is also known that the device will receive an AMOLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1880 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

According to insiders, you should expect new Xiaomi tablets in the first half of 2023. At the same time, neither the price nor the more exact release terms have yet been announced.
