For now, Apple will continue to use Qualcomm’s 5G modems in its smartphones. At least we are talking about the iPhone 15 series, because our own developments in this direction lag behind. It is assumed that Snapdragon X70 modems will be installed in the future line.

This is illustrated by data from proprietary media reporting that TSMC is now mass-producing 4nm chips. And the Snapdragon X70 is equipped with chips with just such technical processing. Current flagships iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max used X65.

The new modems are said to provide up to 60% improvement in power consumption, as well as increased bandwidth, lower latency, higher performance and more. As for Apple’s own 5G modems, the company is expected to introduce them before 2025. Therefore, only Qualcomm modems should be expected in the coming years.
