Another Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 smartphone went on sale in China today. The Moto X40 is about $100 more affordable than the Xiaomi 13, but not much lower than the latter. The Moto X40 received an AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.7 inches, Full HD + resolution and a frame rate of 165 Hz. The fingerprint scanner is of course under the screen.
The main camera is represented by two 50-megapixel sensors (with a main and wide-angle lens) and an additional 12-megapixel sensor with double optical zoom. The front camera is the same as its predecessor with a 60-megapixel sensor.
The phone runs on Android 13 with MyUI 5.0 interface. The capacity of the battery is 4600 mAh, 125 W wired charging and 15 W wireless charging are supported. The device received IP68 protection, as it was presented as an SUV in the world of smartphones. The base version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of flash is asking for $490. Other options are 8/256GB for $530, 12/256GB for $575, and 16/512GB for $615. The phone comes in two colors: black and blue.
