Xiaomi did not worry about the Civi S1 smartphone for long – it took about a week from the moment of its announcement to today’s premiere. The company did not have time to present the novelty until March 8, but it would be very convenient: the Civi S1 is offered almost exclusively as a female model. Even in commercials – only women.

The Civi S1 has retained both the design and dimensions of its predecessor – at 7mm thick and weighing 166 grams, it’s still Xiaomi’s thinnest and lightest smartphone. The battery capacity has not changed and is still 4500 mAh, but the company claims that with better software optimization, the device lasts longer.

Civi S1 received Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box. And this is its second significant difference from the usual Civi, although it has already received Android 12 in China. But what is not in the box now is a charger. However, for those who really need it, the company will ship the power supply for free. It is worth noting that the Civi S1 supports fast charging with a power of 55 watts.

Hardware basis Civi S1 – SoC Snapdragon 778G Plus. In fact, it’s the same as the Snapdragon 778G used in the regular Civi, only with a higher CPU frequency – 2.4 GHz versus 2.5 GHz. The Honor 60 uses a similar platform, and overall, the “complex” of updates on the Civi S1 is comparable to the amount of improvements that turned the Honor 50 into the Honor 60.

Civi S1 received an OLED display with a diagonal of 6.55 inches, Full HD + resolution and a frame rate of 120 Hz. Embedded front camera – 32 megapixel sensor. The main camera has sensors with a resolution of 64 (with a wide-angle lens with an aperture of F / 1.8), 8 (with a wide-angle lens) and 2 (for macro shooting) megapixels.

The prices have already been announced and look like this: 8/128 GB – $355, 8/256GB – $405, 12/256GB – $450. Pre-sales in China have already started. Given that the Civi has been and remains exclusive to the domestic market, there is no reason to think that the Civi S1 will go on sale outside of China. Source
