The new Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro should have been presented last, along with MIUI 14 and other devices 1st of December. However, the death of former Chinese President Jiang Zemin changed the plans of the company, which could not hold the event it had planned due to national mourning.

As a result of the aforementioned situation, Xiaomi announced that its important event will be postponed to December 11, but we will not have to wait until that date to learn the design of the successors of the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro. The firm itself revealed it to the press this Thursday.

Xiaomi limited itself to publishing images of its new flagships and hardly gave any other details. However, most of the changes have been leaked in the past weeks, so we’re in for an interesting look at what these new terminals will look like. Let’s take a look at the renders released today.

At the design level, Xiaomi 13 gets rid of curves and starts a completely flat screen with a small hole where the front camera will live. Regarding the body of the device, we find rather flat bezels and rounded corners, reminiscent of the lines of the iPhone 14.


The back of the device has a bulky module that integrates it. Leica signed cameras and dual LED flash. On the right we find the volume, on and off controls. The bottom edge houses the USB-C port, SIM card slot, microphone and speaker grille.


The most ambitious offer, the Xiaomi 13 Pro, comes with a larger screen. The renders don’t let us know more, but as our colleagues at Xataka Android pointed out, leaks suggest that it will be an LTPO panel (possibly OLED or AMOLED). 2K resolution 6.7”.


Unlike its smaller sibling, the Xiaomi 13 Pro does not get rid of the folds on the screen edges. The body of the device will also have rounded corners. The layout of the buttons and holes is the same as that of the Xiaomi 13, so we do not find any changes in this direction, but on the back.


Collaborating with Leica, Xiaomi 13 Pro aims to have the best camera on the market. Definitely, this episode does not go unnoticed. we met a huge module that houses three sensors and a flash. We don’t know the details, but rumor has it the main sensor will be one inch.

For now, that’s what this early announcement from Xiaomi leaves us with.
