According to authoritative analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is developing an updated version of the iPad mini with a more productive chip. About this reports Macrumors portal.

Kuo pointed out that the main difference of the new iPad mini will be a more efficient chip, but it was not specified which. Most likely, it will be one of the versions of the Apple A17 or M-series performance chipsets. According to the analyst, bulk deliveries of the new Apple tablet are expected in late 2023 – early 2024.

Kuo also added that Apple will not abandon the iPad mini in favor of an iPad with a foldable screen until at least 2025, because such a tablet would cost significantly more than the mini models.

The current iPad mini was introduced in September 2021. It has an 8.3-inch display, the A15 Bionic chip also used in the iPhone 13 and 14, a USB-C port, and a Touch ID fingerprint scanner paired with the power button.
