Realme has officially unveiled its 240W mobile phone charging technology today and confirmed that it will be the first device to support it. Realme GT Neo5. The phone itself was not presented – it will be released in February, but the tech has been talked about.

The power supply unit converts 20 12 A current to 10 24 A with 98.5% efficiency. A USB-C cable capable of transmitting this kind of power had to be custom built for the phone. As for the physical dimensions of the power supply unit, the body volume is only 5% larger than a power supply unit with 150 W output power. The charger supports different protocols: 65 W PD, QC and VOOC.

It will be the largest evaporation chamber in the history of the mobile with 13 temperature sensors and 6580 mm of space to ensure the safety and adequate cooling of both the phone battery and the hardware components of the Realme GT Neo5.2.

The company also emphasizes that the battery loses minimal capacity when such a powerful charge is used. So, after 1600 charge/discharge cycles (which is about twice the conventional standard considered when developing a phone or battery), the effective capacity of the battery is at least 80%.

These are all the details about technology. As for the Realme GT Neo5 itself, it is credited with a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2772×1240 pixels and a frame rate of 144 Hz, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC and a 50-megapixel Sony sensor. There are also rumors that the Realme GT Neo5 will get RGB lighting.
