Nothing has released the first Android 13 beta on December 15, with various additions including faster loading, a new Weather app, and many other improvements.
However, the update ran into a problem as some key apps like Google Pay stopped working for users because the operating system crashed the Google Safetynet API. The brand has started rolling out Nothing OS 1.5.1 as part of the second beta test targeting the Safetynet API issue. Check out the changelog below for all the changes coming with the second beta.

- A brand new handmade melodious ringtone and notification sound pack with a slightly different style!
- A new collection of minimalist wallpapers is now available in the settings menu on the home screen.
- Shortcut settings on lock screen! Choose to view shortcuts for camera, flashlight, device controls, and wallet.
- Easily switch between data usage when using dual SIM cards with the enhanced quick network settings panel.
- Smoother animation when switching between on and off display (regardless of Always On Display state).
- Improved the algorithm for automatically adjusting the screen brightness.
- The full Nothing X program will now be available on Nothing OS.
- The popup is back with some interaction improvements.
- The interface and animations of the camera program have been improved. Improved battery life.
- Improved system stability and bug fixes
This is an incremental update for the first batch of beta testers with around 127MB of space. Users who have applied for the beta in the past but did not receive the first update will also receive this update directly via OTA.
