Xiaomi 13 series smartphones officially debuted in China last month. The devices are said to make their global debut at MWC next month. Although the lineup currently consists of the vanilla Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, rumors of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra are also circulating on the Internet. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun recently confirmed that the brand will launch the Xiaomi 13 Ultra as the main flagship device for both the Chinese and global markets. This sparked many rumors that the launch could happen at the MWC event. However, popular informant Digital Chat Station has published conflicting information.Xiaomi 12S Ultra

According to Digital Chat Station, the OPPO Find X6 and Honor Magic5 series will launch shortly after the Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year falls on January 22. Given the length of the celebration, both casts should debut mid to late February. However, the leaker is adamant that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be released later.

It is unlikely that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be introduced at the MWC fair, which will begin at the end of February. However, the global launch of the premium devices Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro has been confirmed. If the rumors on Chinese websites are to be believed, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra could be ready to launch in Xiaomi’s domestic market in late March or early April. True, it is unknown whether the flagship will appear everywhere at once.

The information currently available about the Xiaomi 13 Ultra claims that it may bring a quad camera setup with a 1-inch 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 primary camera. All four cameras can have PDAF autofocus, and the main camera will likely allow for optimized suspension. It can use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and has up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 500GB/1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
