It looks like the flagship RedMagic 8 Pro will be the first flagship of 2023 to be tested by JerryRigEverything. The results of intense and rigorous endurance testing seem to confirm the reliability of the latest gaming hub. RedMagic 8 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and has an under-display camera (UDC). It also has a fan cooling mechanism and good build quality. Host Zach Nelson tested the RedMagic 8 Pro for durability. A video on YouTube demonstrates the presenter’s advantage on the smartphone screen.

The device passed rigorous tests against scratches, burns and cracks, but overall the phone’s display proved to be reliable. The 6.8-inch screen of the gaming smartphone remained intact after the first two stages of the procedure. Deeper grooves were seen on the 7, and the phone’s display was particularly heat-resistant. Also, the YouTube video nicely demonstrates the UDC component of the smartphone.

The selfie camera of the smartphone has withstood the heat, and it’s an upgraded version, apparently better than some flagships like the Z Fold. During testing, the artificially transparent RedMagic 8 Pro invalid color group panel revealed some potential flaws. One of the weak points is the integrated air ducts and the 3.5mm jack.

The results of the bending test were quite impressive for the RedMagic 8 Pro. The rear glass, however, broke during the bending test but did not crack under pressure. The smartphone screen was not damaged either. The smartphone, which is quite solid, also marked other game models to be released this year. This is currently RedMagic’s best offering in the segment.
