As he reported 24 ChannelsThe claw-like claws consist of a fixed “finger” and a movable “finger”. Boston Dynamics said this type of shackle was developed for lifting heavy objects, and its abilities were first demonstrated in an ad that aired before the final game of the US National Football League (Super Bowl), in which Atlas held a muzzle over his head.

New Arlas skills

A new video shows Atlas delivering a bag of tools to a worker at the pier. To do this, he takes a board and places it between the boxes and the scaffolding, creating a kind of bridge. Along this board, the robot moves to the platform of the scaffold, jumps to the next platform and throws the bag at the worker. At the end of the video, the robot flips over like a real gymnast.

Atlas’ final move, a multi-axis somersault with a 540-degree turn, adds asymmetry to the robot’s movement, making it a much more difficult skill than the parkour previously performed.
– reported the company.

By the way, not many robots are equipped with such clamps on their limbs. Only NASA’s “Robonaut” has analogues.
