Meizu is not as popular as other Chinese brands in the international smartphone market. However, the OEM has a good fan base in its home country thanks to its feature-rich smartphones. The brand recently confirmed that it is working on a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powered flagship called Meizu 20. And while we await the official release of the phone, some leaked patent images reveal its design in full.

Meizu has applied for a patent for a new smartphone believed to be the Meizu 20. As you can see in the image, the smartphone has a flat back with four rings that house the camera sensors. It has a square design with straight edges. The left edge is visible with the volume and power buttons, while the left remains blank. On the front is a flat screen with a hole in the middle that houses the selfie camera.

In general, the design of the Meizu 20 looks pretty high quality. The square design adds a clean look to the smartphone, increasing its overall aesthetic appeal. The existence of Meizu 20 was confirmed with a promotional video last month. The brand had previously reported that the smartphone will be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. There are also rumors that the company may pair the smartphone with a more expensive model called Meizu 20 Pro.

It’s been a while since Meizu released a flagship smartphone. The latest flagship Meizu 18 debuted in 2021 with Snapdragon 888 5G. It has a Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Meizu 20 is expected to be an interesting version as it will be equipped with a powerful processor and have impressive cameras. The launch date should be announced soon.
