Apple tests periscope camera modules for iPhone 15 Pro

According to information published by analyst Jeff Pu, Apple will equip the iPhone 15 Pro with a periscopic lens with 5x optical zoom this year. It also reported that Apple is in business negotiations with Zhejiang Lante Optics. Zhejiang Lante Optics is expected to be the lens supplier for the periscope camera.

Now that Apple is already testing samples, the deal should be completed by May this year. It is reported that the supply of Zhejiang Lante Optics components will reach 100 million units.

We will remind you that last year’s iPhone 14 Pro gets a 48-megapixel camera instead of the 12-megapixel camera that has been in use for six years. But the periscope camera, which has been on Android smartphones for several years, is still missing on the iPhone. If Apple follows the set schedule, the iPhone 15 will be available in September of this year.
