The Galaxy S22+ and S22 Ultra smartphones introduced in 2022 had a similar maximum brightness, while the base version had a display with a brightness of up to 1300 nits. So the update will only affect the younger Galaxy S23 model.
Earlier, Lei Jun, founder and CEO of Xiaomi, said on social networks that the flagship Xiaomi 13 has become the Android smartphone with the brightest screen on the market. The peak brightness of Xiaomi 13 series smartphones reaches 1900 nits, and the screen normally works at a maximum brightness of 1200 nits.
This information coincides with early leaks that the flagships of the Galaxy S23 series will receive screens similar to their predecessors.
The presentation of Samsung’s new products will take place on February 1.
