iPhone prices are increasing rapidly. And that of the other high level. And even the middle class one. Alternatives like buying second-hand or refurbished make more sense than ever, and Apple just brought the iPhone 13 to its official store with this condition. not exactly cheapBut it’s not the worst option either.

Apple already has the refurbished iPhone 13 and second hand isn’t much better

Apple is starting to sell refurbished iPhone 13s in the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain. These devices come in the hands of Apple as refurbished for the first time in our country.

Cell phones that are part of this program come with their original box, completely cleaned and with all the necessary tests to verify that absolutely everything is working. They are replaceable devices, always with original parts, some defective component. They have a one-year warranty and free return periods.

The stock of these devices more or less changes over time as they reach their warehouses. At the time of writing this article, we have 256, 512 and 1TB versions of the iPhone 13 mini, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max available.

We wanted to compare the prices with the prices of the second hand market by taking the cheapest unit as a reference. The 256GB iPhone 13 Pro is being sold by Apple for 1,089 euros, about 200 euros off its original price.

Used models on pages like the Wallapop cost around 900-1,000 euros, making sealed units nearly impossible to find. If we want a unit in perfect condition, it’s a savings of around 100 Euros compared to the official Apple website where we keep the warranty and make sure the mobile is shipped by the manufacturer itself.

Given the price of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max (around 1,300 and 1,500, respectively), it seems like a good move to bet on refreshed previous-gen models. Cell phones that are getting more expensive are here to stay.
