The Realme company has confirmed the launch of the Realme GT Neo 5 smartphone. The brand has officially announced the upcoming offer on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo. The launch date is unknown, but the device will launch in the country next month. Realme also confirmed that the upcoming GT Neo 5 will be the world’s first smartphone to support 240W fast charging. The technology was introduced by the brand last month.
The poster is set to launch next month about the Realme GT Neo 5 and doesn’t reveal any major details other than its fast charging technology. However, the device was previously detected in sources and various certification sites. The upcoming offering will appear as a successor to last year’s Realme GT Neo 3. The brand skips the name GT Neo 4 as the number “4” is considered unlucky in China. According to expert Abhishek Yadav, the GT Neo 5 is expected to launch on February 8. We will learn about the official launch date in the coming days.
The Realme GT Neo 5 poster shared on Weibo last month revealed that the smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and have Sony IMX890 primary camera sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). Leaked images of the smartphone showed a dual-tone design with the camera module black and the rest of the back panel white. It has an elongated rectangular island that also houses another vertical rectangular module.
Coming to the main specs, the Realme GT Neo 5 is said to have a 6.7-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device is expected to receive up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Realme GT Neo 5 is expected to be available in two battery variants – a 4,600mAh battery with 240W charging support and a 5,000mAh battery with 150W charging support.
