Realme has already updated a significant part of its smartphones with the stable Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 interface, and many devices are also in beta. The latest phone to receive the software treat is the Realme GT Neo2, announced in 2021. The update is currently rolling out in China, but may soon expand to other regions. Details are here.
In late December 2022, Realme launched an open beta program for GT Neo2 in the global market, allowing users to taste Realme UI 4.0 early before the stable release. Now, after more than a month of beta testing, the company has started rolling out the final version of the Android 13 update. As mentioned earlier, the rollout is currently limited to the Chinese market.
Realme UI 4.0 brings a few new changes. Adds a new water theme and brighter colors to improve the overall user experience. It promises seamless multi-device connectivity and enhanced security and privacy. Performance and gaming experience have also been optimized.
As a reminder, the Realme GT Neo2 was released in 2021 and is expected to receive only two major OS updates. It comes with Android 11 out of the box and has already received the Android 12 update, so Android 13 will likely be its last major update. It will continue to receive security updates.
The GT Neo2 has a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone has received a triple camera on the back with a main sensor of 64 MP.
