Realme GT Neo5 confirmed to have an IR blaster

Realme is ready to introduce the Realme GT Neo5 smartphone in China. The smartphone will be officially launched in China on February 9, 2023. The smartphone will feature an innovative 240W charging technology that will allow it to charge to 100% in just a few minutes. A recent teaser of the smartphone also reveals that it will have a multi-colored LED strip on the back. It changes color and flashes depending on what is on the device. In any case, the presence of an IR sensor in the gadget has now been officially confirmed.

Realme’s Weibo head confirmed that the GT Neo5 will support an IR blaster sensor. This makes it the first device with an IR blaster from the house of Realme. The IR transmitter allows you to use your smartphone as a remote control for any electronic device that supports IR signals, such as air conditioners, TVs and even fans. Including the sensor in the smartphone is really a great decision by the brand as it will benefit the users.

Many of the features that the upcoming Realme GT Neo5 will have will be firsts for the company, such as IR blaster, multi-colored LED strip and 240W fast charging compatibility. The teasers for the smartphone also showcase its form factor and design. On the back of the device are two strips that read “Dare to Leap” and appear in purple. This gadget and GT Neo3 are somewhat identical, at least in terms of color and design. The black highlighted area on the back contains the LED strip as well as the camera bump. The main sensor is housed in one of the 2 separate circular cutouts for the camera, and the additional lenses and LED flash in the other.
