Vivo has recently launched the Y100 5G mid-range smartphone in India. The device is targeting the sub-Rs 25,000 segment and is powered by the Dimensity 900 chipset. The brand is now planning to launch a budget 5G smartphone called Vivo Y56 in India. The company has yet to reveal anything about the device, but whistleblower Paras Guglani provided some interesting resources about the Y56 5G. According to a tweet that has now been deleted by Paras, the Y56 5G will have the MediaTek Dimensity chipset. This is an entry-level 5G chipset from MediaTek with an octa-core processor and a frequency of 2200 MHz.

According to Guglani, the Y56 5G will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It will be powered by a massive 5000mAh battery and will support 18W fast charging. As for the camera, the Y56 5G will have a dual camera setup on the back. The image shared by Google shows two circular camera cutouts accompanied by an LED flash. The phone will have a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera. The front camera will have a resolution of 5 MP.

In another tweet, the design of the device was leaked through a poster. The Y56 5G will have a flat bezel and the volume rocker will be visible on the right side of the phone. The power button is expected to be below the volume button. The device will be launched in gold with additional color options offered by Vivo.

The phone will have a 6.56-inch display with a drop notch and HD+ resolution for the front camera. It will have a standard refresh rate of 60Hz. Although Android 13 has been available for a while, the Y56 5G is expected to launch with Android 12 and will likely run Funtouch OS 12 as its own UI.
