According to the CAD information you see above 9to5macThe final design of the iPhone 15 Pro. A generation later, the changes may not seem relevant at first glance, but this year, there are key features that bring some impactful changes to the overall iPhone suite. Cameras seem to be the main beneficiaries and, yes, we will finally have a USB-C port.
The images you see correspond to renderings by 3D artist Ian Zelbo, based on the original CADs available to 9to5mac. The source claims that the CAD came from a factory outside of China and was one of the first to receive this official document.
Goodbye Lightning. We’re seeing the first big change in CAD: the iPhone finally has a USB-C port that says goodbye to Lightning. Although Apple implemented port C on Mac and iPad, it was not in favor of including it in iPhone. Fortunately for consumers, strict EU regulations seem to have forced them to change their minds: all phones in the European region must have this combo port.
more ergonomic. Another change we’ve seen is increased curvature on the sides of the device, both on the glass itself and on the bezels. In pursuit of ergonomics it is a small curve, the panel remains completely flat.
A monster module. Maximum importance is taken by the camera module, which protrudes more noticeably than ever from the body of the terminal. The build will be the same as last year: main sensor, ultra wide angle and telephoto lens, all accompanied by a LiDAR.
Despite this, thicker lenses are expected in addition to larger sensors in this generation. There’s no word on whether these changes will affect the main sensor (note that Apple released a 48-megapixel sensor last generation) or if it will finally feature a more ambitious ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lens than we’ve seen so far.
capacitive buttons. According to rumors, everything points to the iPhone 15 Pro having capacitive buttons instead of physical buttons. The design of the volume keypad has been redesigned and even toggled between sound and silence modes. There is almost no information on how they will work and how we can act with them if the iPhone hangs, but we are facing one of the biggest changes in Apple history.
less slope. The CAD design allows us to see a noticeable change in the front bezels of the device. The iPhone 15 Pro will have a more assertive front use than seen in the last generation. There doesn’t seem to be any change to Dynamic Island, Apple’s migration solution that is looking for a way to introduce Face ID at the bottom of the screen.
iPhone 15 is the iPhone of big change. The 15th Gen will be key for Apple. The iPhone of port C will have to juggle to include a final ticket, which has grown remarkably over the past year, the iPhone to combine the photographic results produced by the 14 Pro, the iPhone that will introduce the Ultra family.
