OnePlus reversed its previous statement that the OnePlus 11R will receive four years of Android updates and five years of security patches. In a new announcement, the company said that the 11R will only receive three years of Android updates and four years of security updates.
OnePlus support apologized for the previous misunderstanding and said the new expanded update policy is for “specific devices”. Currently, only OnePlus 11 is included in this list.
We will remind you that right after the presentation of the sub-flagship OnePlus 11R, the company promised to support the smartphone as long as the flagship model OnePlus 11. OnePlus 11R is an India-exclusive Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 based phone. Its specs are close to the OnePlus 10T, but it offers a few minor upgrades and a lower price.
