German company Hallo Welt Systeme introduced a new line of smartphones Volla Phone. Like its predecessors, Volla Phone X23 does not use the Google ecosystem and has an open source operating system. The device is available to buyers in two variations – you can buy Volla Phone X23 with Volla OS or Ubuntu Touch.
Its price is 522 euros. The company is currently accepting pre-orders and deliveries are scheduled to begin in May 2023. Volla OS version is compatible with most Android apps while Ubuntu Touch does not support Android apps.
Under the hood of Volla Phone X23 is MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal flash memory. Other features include a 6.1-inch screen with HD+ resolution (1560 x 720 pixels), 16 MP front camera, dual main cameras (48 and 8 MP), and a 5000 mAh battery with 3-by-15 wired charging support. Its dimensions are 160.9x80x12.2 mm, and the weight of the smartphone is 270 grams.
It is also a rugged smartphone that meets the military standard MIL-STD-810H and is also water and dust protected (IP68). In addition, the battery can be replaced without the use of special tools.
