Alongside the long-lasting Nokia C32 and C22 phones, HMD Global unveiled the G22 today – and it’s already stressing the ease of self-repair. So, for example, it only takes 5 minutes to replace the battery in this model. Replacing the screen takes a little longer – 20 minutes.

Engineers simplified the disassembly of smartphones as much as possible. For example, there is no glass on the back, the phone does not need to be heated with a hair dryer. In general, all you need to disassemble the Nokia G22 is a paper clip, a screwdriver and a screwdriver. There is no need to pour alcohol on the bottom when replacing the battery. HMD Global has already contracted with iFixit, which will supply parts and tools to replace the phone’s components. Naturally, there will be detailed instructions on this.

As for the specifications, the Nokia G22 diagonal 6.52 inches, HD + resolution and a frame rate of 90 Hz (screen protection is provided by tempered glass Gorilla Glass 3), 8 megapixel front camera and main sensors with a resolution of 50.2 and 2, SoC Unisoc T606, 4 GB RAM and 64 or 128 GB flash memory.

It uses Android 12 as the operating system, but the creators promised two major updates to the OS (i.e. the G22 will definitely get Android 14) and three years of security updates. The device configuration also includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5050mAh battery with 20W wired charging support. The cost of the novelty in the basic version is 180 euros.
