OnePlus recently introduced the OnePlus 11R to the global market. The name of the same device has been changed to OnePlus Ace 2 for China. Now the brand is gearing up to introduce another addition to its domestic Ace lineup called OnePlus Ace 2V. OnePlus has set a launch date on March 7 and has confirmed many features of the Ace V2 via teasers. Here’s everything we know about the device so far.

Design and display

Starting with a few teasers, it has been revealed that the OnePlus Ace V2 will feature a square design with straight edges. The brand said that these edges will be made of high-quality aluminum usually found on flagship smartphones. The rear panel will also be flat and house the triple camera housed in two round camera islands. This camera design has previously appeared on many devices, including the OnePlus Nord 2T and Realme 10 series.

On the front of the device, there will be a 6.74-inch flat OLED display with a resolution of 2772×1240 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and 10-bit colors. It also features high-frequency PWM dimming, 1450 nits brightness and HDR 10+ for enhanced image quality. It will have a central hole for the front camera. The bezels around the device turned out to be extremely thin and smooth. The phone will also have the popular notification slider on the side of the smartphone.

The brand also released more information about the Ace 2V, saying it will be powered by the Dimensity 9000 chipset and have LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The Dimensity 9000 processor will have eight cores, including 3.05 GHz Cortex-X2 cores, three 2.85 GHz Cortex-A710 cores and four 1.80 GHz Cortex-A510 cores. The phone will also have an integrated Mali G710 GPU to manage the graphics processing. It will be offered in two configurations, one with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and the other with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage.

The device will support high frame rates of 120fps in “League of Legends” and 90fps in “Game for Peace” and will have cloud computing technology for the game to improve the overall gaming experience. The device has already appeared on benchmark websites Geekbench and AnTuTu showing its performance. A massive 5,000mAh battery will power the device and it will also come with 80W fast charging to quickly top up when the battery gets low.

The OnePlus Ace 2V is expected to have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera along with a triple-camera setup at the back. The rear camera setup is said to include a 64-megapixel main lens with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. It has also been confirmed that the device will come in green and black colors.
