Tecno is well known outside of Europe

Tecno Mobile is a Chinese brand based in Shenzhen. He was born in 2006, but it was from 2016 that he made a huge splash. Like? Seize markets such as Africa, India or Latin America.

The name shouldn’t surprise us, as it ranks among the world’s top 10 manufacturers with over 130 million devices and 70 countries, according to Counterpoint. . Thanks to the “i series” being very popular in India and having a share of more than 40% in Africa.

According to the data the brand shared with us, they grew 556% in Latin America, 43% in Africa and 55% in India in 2021. It’s still a small producer, but at Tecno they are very happy with their form.

When asked when Tecno will arrive in Europe, they smile but disapprove. They are already found in Eastern Europe, but They do not dare to guarantee that they will be in Europe next year.. “We’ll see,” says a Tecno spokesperson.

However, Tecno has a media presence in Europe, especially in the UK. They have been sponsors of the Manchester City football team since 2016 and have renewed their commitment after winning the Premier League title in 2019.
