Oukitel is a Chinese mobile device manufacturer known for its rugged phones and portable accessories. Earlier, the company released several interesting phones. For example, the last WP21 phone launched with a solid design and a watch-like outer display. Now the brand is preparing to make the Oukitel WP22 the loudest smartphone in the world.
The Oukitel WP22 will be unveiled later this month and won’t come as your usual rugged smartphone. In addition to the usual IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H ratings we see on rugged phones, it will also have a rear speaker. The smartphone speaker can produce up to 4W of sound and a maximum output of 125 decibels (dB), making it the most powerful and loudest speaker in a smartphone.
Speaking of other features, the phone comes with a 6.58-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is powered by a Helio P90 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. There is a 20-megapixel night vision camera on the back, along with a 48-megapixel primary shooter and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The front panel has a 16-megapixel selfie camera housed in a drop notch.
A special feature of the WP22 is its powerful 10,000 mAh battery, which can work up to 52 days under certain conditions. It also runs Android 13, a notable addition in a market where most devices still run Android 12-based software. Those interested in purchasing the Oukitel WP22 can do so from March 20, 2023. The current price of the smartphone on the AliExpress page is around $400, but a promotional special offer could bring the price down to around $171 on launch day.
