Just a few days ago, Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi 13 series for international markets. At the same event, the company also introduced MIUI 14. However, the company has been releasing its new mobile software outside of mainland China for a few weeks now. The latest phones to receive the update were the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Ultra. According to Xiaomiui, Xiaomi has started rolling out the MIUI 14 update for Mi 11 and Mi 11 Ultra in international markets. The Android 13 update is currently limited to the “global” variant of these phones.

The OTA software update has build numbers V14.0.1.0.TKBMIXM and V14.0.1.0.TKAMIXM for Mi 11 and Mi 11 Ultra, respectively. These builds contain security fixes from February 2023. Not surprisingly, the update is initially only available to Mi Pilot testers. If there are no major bugs, it will be made available to a select few general users as part of the “Stable Beta” rollout.

The update should be available to all users within a month. Until then, users can regularly go to Settings to check if their device is getting the update.

Android 13 is the second Android update for these smartphones since their debut with Android 11. Similarly, MIUI 14 is also their second MIUI update as they were released with MIUI 12. Both devices could get another Android update next year. Most likely, this will be the last major system update.
