Qualcomm Senior Vice President Alex Katuzian posted an update on LinkedIn, congratulating the Nothing team for using the Snapdragon 8-series single-chip system on the Nothing Phone (2). There was no mention of the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in the message.

The Nothing Phone (2) will be the company’s second phone, and the company has confirmed that the Nothing Phone (1) has sold more than 650,000 Nothing Phone (1). Nothing CEO Carl Pei had previously confirmed that the upcoming phone will be of better quality than its first smartphones. Best build quality, redesigned Glyph interface and modern hardware are expected. The transition to Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 looks good if the previous smartphone was using the Snapdragon 778G+ SoC.

The post was edited shortly after Alex Katuzyan’s post was noticed on the network. Now, it is said to use the Snapdragon 8 series platform. The new phone is expected to be released in the third quarter of this year.
