Galaxy S23 users reported an animation flickering issue

Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones are known as one of the most advanced and feature-rich smartphones on the market, created by the Korean tech giant. However, there seems to be a user base that is dissatisfied with its performance. Based on information posted on social media and forums, some Galaxy S23 users have reported flickering animations when navigating third-party apps like Reddit, WhatsApp, Twitter, and YouTube.

It appears that the issue is not widespread and only affects certain users, and the root cause may or may not be related to the February 2023 security update. There is a possibility that the problem is related to a third-party program or some other factor that has not yet been identified. Also, the problem is not limited to third-party apps, as some users experience scrolling delays even in Samsung’s own Galaxy Store app.

According to a report by SamMobiles, the screen refresh rate drops below 60Hz in Samsung’s own app store. This results in slower scrolling in the Galaxy Store compared to mid-range Samsung devices with refresh rates not above 60Hz.

Flickering and inconsistent animations can be annoying and burdensome for users who expect a smooth and smooth experience from their high-end devices. Some users have suggested various possible fixes to fix the problem, such as restarting the phone, clearing the cache, disabling RAM Plus or switching to 60Hz refresh rate. However, these tools may not be effective for everyone or may require compromises on other features.

Samsung has yet to officially acknowledge and fix the problem. We believe that the company will immediately release a software update to fix the unstable animation issue for all Galaxy S23 users. Meanwhile, if you encounter this problem on your device, you can try some of the suggested solutions or contact Samsung Support for assistance.
