Skeiron used advanced photogrammetry technology to capture images of the theater’s exterior and interior, which were then converted into a 3D depth-mapped model. Previously, the studio had developed 3D models of more than 40 Ukrainian landmarks, including the Dominican and Sofia Cathedrals, for Google search. The team plans to create a 3D tour of Mariupol’s other sights.
Since 2016, Skeiron has specialized in digitizing architectural monuments and museum exhibits, and 3D models will help recreate monuments destroyed in the event of bombardment. Currently, a 3D model of the Mariupol Drama Theater is available to the public.
