Apple’s new premium smartphones will be more expensive than current ones. This was reported by MacRumors. According to Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu, the American company will have to recoup the rising cost of new devices. An insider noted that the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max prices will be higher than the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models due to the use of new technologies in their creation.
The analyst believes that the best devices in the series will receive a new titanium frame, solid buttons with tactile feedback with Taptic Engine modules, and an improved lens. In addition, Apple will have to raise the prices of its flagships due to the use of the new A17 Bionic processor and increased RAM.
Jeff Pu did not reveal the cost of future devices. The prices of the base models – the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus – are expected to remain at the previous level. Apple has kept the prices of premium iPhone models low for several years. So in the US, the iPhone 14 Pro retails for $999, the same price as the iPhone X released in 2017. The iPhone 14 Pro Max starts at $1,099 – the same price as the iPhone Xs Max introduced in 2018.
