The Redmi Note 12 Turbo will be launched in China on March 28 at 19:00 local time. The phone is the new member of the brand’s Note 12 series and will be the first phone to be powered by the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 processor. Now, prior to the announcement, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo appeared on Geekbench with model number 23049RAD8C as spotted by 91mobiles. The C at the end of the model number indicates the Chinese model.
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo Geekbench 6.0 listing revealed that the phone managed to score 1484 in the single-core round and 4257 in the multi-core segment. Considering we’re talking about a mid-range offering, these estimates are pretty good. The testing platform also shares some nuances regarding the specifications. First, the phone runs the latest Android 13 operating system, which can be customized with a custom MIUI 14 skin right out of the box.
In the motherboard section, “marble” is mentioned, which can be connected to an octa-core Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.92 GHz. The chipset will come with 12GB of RAM but there may be other options when it launches.
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is expected to feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, selfie notch and narrow bezels. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 processor coupled with Adreno GPU. The phone is expected to come out of the box with a custom MIUI 14 skin based on Android 13 and get a 5,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
Moving on to optics, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo Edition is said to have a 50MP primary sensor, 8MP secondary and a 2MP third lens. Connectivity features can include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a USB Type-C port for charging. Details about the front camera are currently unknown.
