Being (very) good is expensive

Huawei boasts that we are facing the thinnest foldable device on the market. 5.33mm thickness when deployed. Thus, it surpasses the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 (5.4 mm), thus proposing a design where thinness reigns as the absolute hero.

The screens that Huawei has integrated are certainly remarkable. The exterior is 6.4 inches and has a resolution of 2,504 x 1,080 pixels, supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz and allows us to take advantage of the “mobile standard” format with great features.

But of course, things get better when we show that screen, so we have 7.85 inch LPTO OLED It has a resolution of 2,496 x 2,224 pixels and supports variable resolutions from 1 to 120 Hz.

Inside, the presence of a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 stands out: we don’t have the latest (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2), but what’s intriguing here is mobile connectivity Limited to 4GIt’s not 5G, but something that could be a result of this technological and sociopolitical conflict that China is currently facing with the US and other Western countries.

There are some unknowns when it comes to the RAM memory that integrates this device. The Mate Xs 2 offered versions with 8 and 12 GB of RAM, and although leaks suggest it will integrate 12 GB of RAM, this data has not been confirmed by Huawei. What we do know is that there are models ranging from 256GB to 1TB of internal storage.

The 4,800 mAh battery is promising given the thinness of the device. It supports fast charging up to 66W wired and up to 50W in case of wireless charging base.

It will be interesting to see how the rear cameras behave 50 Mpixels for main sensorand 13 and 12 Mpixels respectively for wide angle and telephoto lens (5x optical zoom, 50x digital). The front is more modest in its sensor reaching 8 Mpixels.

This terminal is based on Huawei’s AOSP-based operating system HarmonyOS 3.1, which renders Google services and applications unusable.
