Samsung’s latest One UI 5.1 update with build number A146BXXU1BWC3 has started rolling out on Galaxy A14 5G, bringing new features and improved stability to users. Coming with the March 2023 security patch, this update fixes more than 50 security issues on Galaxy smartphones, making it a must-have update.
The update is currently available in some Asian countries, including India and Sri Lanka, but users in other countries may have to wait a few more days to receive the update. If you want to get the latest firmware, go to Settings » Software Update » and tap Download & Install, or you can download a firmware file from Samsung’s database and install it manually.
With the One UI 5.1 update, Galaxy A14 5G users can expect improvements to standard apps, including the Gallery app, which now has better search capabilities and makes it easier to view and edit EXIF information. The Modes and Routines app has also been updated with new options and features such as font style, Quick Share, ringtone and wallpaper.
Multitasking has become even more efficient, thanks to the ability to turn on split-screen mode with a two-finger swipe. The phone also displays frequently used apps first, speeding up the multitasking process. Additionally, users can now shrink or expand an app window by dragging it, making it easier to navigate between apps.
Galaxy A14 5G features a 6.6 inch FHD+ Infinity-V LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 7nm octa-core processor, Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 4GB/6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card.
The device runs on Android 13 and has a triple primary camera that includes a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP sensor along with a 13MP front camera. The Samsung Galaxy A14 also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C connectivity. Under the hood of the device is a 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
