All the features of Motorola Edge 40 and 40 Pro were leaked to the internet yesterday. One of these models is likely to be a rebranded version of the Moto X40 that was launched in China last December. Now the new Motorola flagship has appeared in the Google Play Console list. The device is called Moto Edge+ (2023) on the certification site and lists the main specs. It is expected to arrive as a US special edition of the Moto X40 (China) and Edge 40 Pro (worldwide). The device will also be the successor to Edge+ (2022).
A rendered image of the Moto Edge+ (2023) on the Google Play Console listing shows a curved display with a notch in the middle and very thin bezels. The device has a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and a screen density of 400 DPI.
According to the Play Console listing, Moto Edge+ (2023) will be powered by a Qualcomm SM8550 processor equivalent to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It will be paired with the Adreno 730 GPU. The upcoming offering will have 12GB of RAM and will run Android 13 out of the box. We can expect more RAM and storage configurations at launch. Apart from the above information, there are no more details about Moto Edge+ (2023). We hope to learn more about the smartphone in the coming weeks.
Since Moto Edge+ (2023) is expected to be the successor of the X40, we can expect the device to feature a 6.6-inch FHD+ curved OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It will be backed by a 4,600mAh battery with 125W fast charging and 15W wireless charging support. The smartphone has a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. It has a 60MP selfie camera.
