OnePlus today officially unveiled a special edition of the OnePlus 11 Jupiter Rock Limited Edition smartphone. Feature of the novelty is the back panel, which is supposed to mimic the surface of Jupiter. Local media are lauding: they talk about “a unique texture as cold as jade” and “a material the industry has never seen before”.

The technological process of manufacturing the rear panel is described by OnePlus as the only volumetric microcrystalline rock production process in the world. It is stated that the production efficiency of such covers is only 25% of the production efficiency of glass back panels and the appropriate product yield is only 50% (compared to glass panel production). The cover of each OnePlus 11 Jupiter Rock Limited Edition is unique – no smartphone will have the same panels.

In addition to its interesting appearance (it is poetically described as “jade polished with water for a thousand years”) and the uniqueness of the pattern, there are other properties: the material conducts heat and leaves no fingerprints on it. The cover is also characterized as wear-resistant and antibacterial.

In general it turned out to be unusual and innovative, but what about the price? OnePlus 11 Jupiter Rock Limited Edition is offered only in the maximum configuration – with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of flash memory. The price is $ 710, sales in China will begin on April 3.

As for the characteristics, there is no difference between the Jupiter Rock Limited Edition and the regular version: the smartphone is equipped with a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3216×1440 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, a Hasselblad camera.
