The Redmi Note series is one of the best-selling smartphone lines in the world. In early December, Xiaomi announced that it has sold over 300 million units to date. Just three months later, the company announced that it is now selling even more Redmi Notes. During the Redmi Note 12 Turbo presentation yesterday, Xiaomi announced that the sales of the Redmi Note series have exceeded 320 million units worldwide. In other words, the company managed to sell 20 million units in the last three months.

It also boasted that the Redmi Note 11 was one of the top 10 best selling smartphones in the world in 2022. According to Canalys, the Redmi Note 11, which sold 18 million units last year, drew with the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Unfortunately, even though the sales figure looks strong, total shipments have been falling for the past few quarters. For example, Xiaomi sold more than 40 million Redmi Notes in just 5 months in 2021.

Unlike previous years, Xiaomi now sells a wide range of devices in different price segments of the Redmi Note series. However, it did not catch the previous sales records. The global smartphone market is now saturated. Consumers are using their old phones longer than ever before. The current economic situation is not helping either.
