Samsung Electronics will no longer release software updates for its flagship Galaxy S10 and affordable Galaxy A50 smartphones released four years ago. This came from new details released by Samsung regarding the April 2023 security update.

Samsung’s update schedule page no longer lists the Galaxy A50, Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+. The Galaxy A50 smartphone was launched with Android 9 and received two major OS updates: Android 10 and Android 11.

For some reason the exception was the Galaxy S10 5G model. Despite being released in February 2019 along with the rest of the Galaxy S10 series, the Galaxy S10 5G version will continue to receive software updates. The Galaxy S10 Lite, which was released in early 2020, will also continue to receive updates.
