The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is just around the corner and reports suggest the launch will take place on April 17. The phone has been in the news for a while and will likely be Xiaomi’s crown jewel. Unlike the last Ultra model, the 13 Ultra will also be available to consumers worldwide. While awaiting its official release, the smartphone has been certified by IMDA. Details are here.

The upcoming Xiaomi 13 Ultra has appeared on Singapore’s IMDA certification website under model number 2304FPN6DG. The listing doesn’t reveal any interesting information other than confirming some obvious features like 5G support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC. However, this hints that Xiaomi’s latest flagship could arrive very soon.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is likely to launch with an improved camera system that could surpass even last year’s Xiaomi 12S Ultra. Sources point to a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 camera with a 1-inch camera sensor, ultra-wide lens, telephoto lens and periscopic zoom camera on the back of the device. The quad camera setup set by Leica will be accompanied by a 32MP front camera. The smartphone should run Android 13 O based on MIUI 14 out of the box.

The flagship phone is likely to feature a 6.73-inch curved-edge AMOLED E6 display that supports QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi 13 Ultra, the brand’s most premium smartphone, is expected to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The top variant is said to have 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It’s expected to make its international debut in April, but we’re still awaiting official confirmation.
