Following the recent announcements of Redmi Note 12 (4G), Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+ 5G for the global market, Xiaomi sub-brand is expected to launch Redmi Note 12S soon. According to leaks and certifications, the device will be released globally in the coming weeks.

On the eve of the launch, the Redmi Note 12S appeared in the SIRIM database. The listing mentions that the smartphone with the model number 2303CRA44A is indeed the Redmi Note 12S. Other than that, the SIRIM listing doesn’t mention any details about the specs.

According to recent reports, the rumored Redmi Note 12S is a variant of last year’s Note 11S, albeit with some modifications. It is expected to offer faster charging, but it may not have a depth sensor.

Speculations suggest that the Redmi Note 12S will feature a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it can run on a Helio G96 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The device could potentially run on the latest Android 13 operating system with MIUI 14 as the user interface. The device is expected to have a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

In terms of camera capabilities, the Redmi Note 12S is said to have a quad camera setup on the back that includes a 108-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, it can house a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
