Vivo is gearing up to launch its next-generation foldable smartphone called Vivo X Fold 2 in China. The brand has already started making fun of the device, leading us to believe that the foldable smartphone could launch in April or early May. Ahead of its upcoming launch, the Vivo X Fold 2 has surfaced on SARM’s certification website, hinting that mass production is underway.

According to SARM’s listing, the X Fold 2 will come with a 4,800mAh battery and an upgraded 120W fast charging feature. With a 100mAh battery and 40Hz fast charging speed, it’s slightly better than the previous generation X Fold+.

Vivo X Fold 2 specs (rumors)

The upcoming foldable phone from the company has been confirmed to have a triple camera setup on the back with a circular camera module with LED flash. The camera system is a collaboration with Zeiss and reportedly includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 main camera with OIS, a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 ultra-wide camera and a 12-megapixel IMX663 telephoto camera. While some rumors suggest that the X Fold 2 may have three 50MP sensors. The phone will also have a dedicated Vivo V2 ISP to improve camera performance.

The device will have a long bezel display with a notch in the middle, and its foldable screen will be an 8-inch E6 AMOLED display with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support. The screen is slightly bent from the right side. The X Fold 2 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and is expected to launch in China with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
