According to network sources, the Chinese company Xiaomi has received a patent for a smartphone with a very unusual design. This is a device equipped with a flexible display. Normally, the screen surrounds the body of the device: so the information can be displayed on both the front and back of the device.

If necessary, the user will be able to separate and extend the screen from the main module, making the panel a kind of tablet. The display will be able to exchange information with the base station via wireless communication.

According to Xiaomi, the flexible display will have its own rechargeable battery that will allow it to work offline. The main computational load during work in this form will fall on the basic module. But so far the unusual smartphone only appears in patent documents.
