Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, in China on April 18, 2023. Additionally, Xiaomi CEO has confirmed that the device will be launched in overseas markets soon. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is expected to set a new standard in smartphone photography based on the success of Leica’s collaboration with Xiaomi, which is evident in the Xiaomi 13 Pro. With the upcoming Xiaomi 13 Ultra, the brand will expand this collaboration.

Ahead of its official launch, an alleged live shot of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra flagship device has leaked online. While the image is a bit blurry, it gives us an idea of the shape of the camera module, which appears circular and includes four separate camera lenses as well as a dual LED flash. The image also suggests that the device may have a leather back. On closer inspection, you can see the volume and power buttons neatly aligned on the right side of the device.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is expected to have a 1-inch Sony IMX989 primary camera with variable aperture support. Additionally, the device is said to have additional lenses, including a secondary ultra-wide lens, a tertiary telephoto lens, and a quad periscope lens. Although the exact technical details of the cameras have not been confirmed yet, the setup is expected to offer users an extraordinary photography experience.

Pricing information of the device was also revealed earlier, revealing that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be offered in three configurations: 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. These models are listed for 6,299 yuan (about $916), 6,799 yuan (about $990) and 7,499 yuan (about $1,090), respectively. Note that these are not official prices. There may be other device options.

As for the specifications, the device is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset. It will also have a 6.7-inch E6 AMOLED LTPO Quad HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A 4,900 mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging is also expected.
