Samsung is the undisputed king of the sophisticated smartphone market, and its success is largely due to the Galaxy Z Flip 3, which sold as a sophisticated phone last year. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 should also bring the long-awaited battery improvement.
All three previous Z Flip phones were equipped with a 3300mAh battery that was barely adequate for an entire day. Galaxy Club has found evidence that the capacity of the Flip 4 battery will be slightly larger.
Samsung’s folding phones have two batteries, and it turns out that Flip 4 with model number SM-F721 will have a larger battery. This will increase the total declared capacity to 3400 mA hours, which means an increase of 100 mA hours.
Battery capacity isn’t the only thing that affects battery life. The single crystal system used plays an important role. An insider said that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will be built on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ mobile platform, which is more energy efficient than modern solutions.
It is currently unknown whether the device will support a charging speed higher than 15 watts. The Flip 4 may have the same design as the Flip 3, the phone will have a 6.7-inch internal display and a 1.9-inch external display. The phone could be cheaper than the Flip 3, which starts at $999. It is expected to be introduced in August alongside the Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Watch 5.
