Vivo plans to launch the Vivo X Fold 2 in China on April 20. It debuts as the successor to the X Fold. Ahead of the launch, the upcoming offering was spotted on benchmarking platform Geekbench. It reveals the key features of the foldable phone.

Vivo X Fold 2 is listed in the Geekbench database with model number V2266A. The listing shows a motherboard codenamed “kalama”, consisting of three 2.2GHz cores, four 2.8GHz cores, and one 3.19GHz core. The configuration and codename of the motherboard corresponds to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This shows that the Vivo X Fold 2 will be the first foldable device to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest generation flagship processor. According to the listing, the device will have 12GB of RAM and we can expect more options at launch. It will run Android 13 out of the box.

Vivo X Fold 2 scored 1,808 and 5,050 points in Geekbench single-core and multi-core test results, respectively. Other than that, the benchmark database does not show any additional details.

The Vivo X Fold 2 is expected to feature 6.5 and 8.3-inch internal and 8.3-inch displays, respectively, with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of up to 1800 nits. The foldable phone will reportedly be backed by a 4,800mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging support. The round camera island on the back has a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. It is expected to feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera on both internal and external displays.
