The Vivo X Flip marks the brand’s entry into the flip phone category. It launched in China today alongside the second-generation X Fold 2 and has some notable features that make it a worthy competitor to the Oppo Find N2 Flip and Galaxy Z Flip 4. 6.74 inch main panel. The company has now detailed that the phone uses a BOE-made display with new Q9 lightweight materials and adaptive dynamic refresh rate technology.
Vivo X Flip launched earlier today and now the company has shared some interesting information about its display. According to the official announcement, Flippable features unique adaptive internal and external OLED displays manufactured by the Chinese company BOE.
The Vivo X Flip series features BOE’s premium flexible OLED display with Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) technology. Thanks to UTG, the durability and flexibility of the folding screen has been greatly increased, making the screen thinner and less likely to be damaged.
Also, the phone has a 6.74-inch foldable OLED display with BOE’s waterdrop folding and bending solution. The screen stays flat when folded and unfolded, but has a noticeable crease. The panel is claimed to offer smooth touch response speed with 240Hz touch sampling rate technology.
The dual displays, both internal and external, use wide color gamut technology and new BOE Q9 glossy materials that provide optimum color display with a peak brightness of 1200 nits. The company has also implemented ultra-high frequency PWM dimming technology, which protects the eyes by reducing potential damage from screen flickering in the dark. In addition, thanks to the optimization of the light-emitting structural unit of the screen, the harmful blue light on the screen is minimized.
