Vivo took out the heavy artillery. If the company introduced the Vivo X90 Pro just a few days ago, now the Chinese firm is not one, but doubling in two different formats. The first is the Vivo X Fold2, the new version of the folding book genre. The second is the Vivo X Flip, the first clamshell format model.
Both devices were announced in China and for now we don’t know if the firm plans to bring them to Spain. If it does, we will update this article with prices in euros. Let’s get to know them better when the time comes.

Vivo’s new folding book reaches full strength
we start with Live X Fold2, Vivo’s new folding book type recommendation. The Chinese firm is not new to folding, but has made a new version that does not compromise on strength. At the design level, it’s lost 33 grams and two millimeters over its predecessor, with a few new features plus a 33% improvement in hinge durability. As Vivo explains, the device can withstand around 400,000 shutdowns, which is certified by TÜV Rheinland.
Built-in display 8.03 inch AMOLED LTPO, thus becoming the largest to date. It’s not bad, with a high resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ and Dolby Vision compatibility, as well as a maximum brightness peak of 1,800 nits. The outer screen is the one we will access when the fold is closed. It is AMOLED and has a size of 6.53 inches.
The engine deserves a special mention, which is a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 accompanied by 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to half a terras of UFS 4.0 storage. In summary, not short on speed. All of this is brought to life by a 4,800mAh battery compatible with 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, as well as Android 13 running under Vivo’s own layer, OriginOS.
As for the camera, it’s a simple and well-known configuration that refreshes the image. Bet on ZEISS. We find a 50-megapixel main sensor, two 12-megapixel telephoto with optical magnification and a 12-megapixel wide-angle with 108º field of view. The front camera remains at 16 megapixels.
