New Nokia C300 spotted on Geekbench

HMD Global has launched several new C-series phones, including the Nokia C12 and C12 Plus. These are typical Nokia smartphones with good hardware and affordable prices. Now, the company seems to be working on a new budget smartphone with Snapdragon 662 processor. The device in question, which can be called Nokia C300, has recently appeared on Geekbench with some interesting details.

The Nokia C300 was spotted on benchmarking site Geekbench as “HMD Global Nokia C300”. For those who don’t know, HMD Global is the company behind modern Nokia smartphones. The device is listed with 3GB of RAM and runs Android 12. This should come as no surprise, as Nokia phones are not exactly known to run software updates.

Geekbench lists a smartphone with an octa-core processor and a motherboard codenamed “Orion”. The maximum frequency of the processor is 2.02 GHz and the base frequency is 1.80 GHz. Based on this, we understand that the SoC powering the Nokia C300 is the Snapdragon 662, which the semiconductor company markets as a lower-mid ARM-based processor. There is also the Adeno 610 GPU.

The smartphone managed to score 306 points in single-core tests and 1164 points in multi-core tests. Other features of the phone are not yet known. As mentioned, it could debut as an affordable smartphone with a price tag in the $100-$150 range. There is no official confirmation from the brand yet. We hope to learn more details about the phone in the coming days.
